  • Exhibit Be – A New Orleans Graffiti Mural

Exhibit Be was conceptualized by Brandon “B. MiKe” Odums, and executed by a multitude of local artists. Created in abandoned apartments on 3010 Sandra Drive, just off of General De Gaulle Boulevard on the West Bank, the exhibit shows how New Orleans and hip-hop culture responds to adversity by creating something from nothing. The exhibit was also created to shine a light on unused space in the New Orleans area.

The most extreme thing about the art exhibit is it’s lifespan. The exhibit will eventually be torn down to make way for a new sports complex. However, if it weren’t for Bill Thomason recognizing an oppurtunity to showcase the land and the art, the exhibit would have never been open to the public. Exhibit Be is only open until 1-19-2015 at 4:00 pm.
